This project is a force creating a strong intersex movement across the whole of Africa in order to create a safe space for the intersex community. It involves learning visits where we host colleagues from anywhere around Africa to transfer knowledge and build confidence in their theories and methodologies in addressing issues that suppress the rights of intersex people in Africa. It also involves exchange visits where staff members from SIPD visit other African countries to learn techniques partners are using in their particular counties to uphold the rights of the intersex people living there. The project also entails focused regional meetings to create a critical mass of intersex allies and stakeholders, upscale the support and advocacy networks for intersex health and rights, document and disseminate best practices in Intersex interventions with a regional focus and increase the profile of grassroots national responses to Intersex issues of concern in an Africa space.
